Key Words

  • Ammo X: The number of shots before you need to reload. Until you fire all shots the weapon is considered to have Load Free property.
  • Scatter: Damage from this weapon counts as area and close attack for purposes of resistances, immunities and vulnerabilities.

Firearms

  • Sleeve Pistol: This is a pistol small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. When combined with a sleeve holster you can draw the weapon as a free action.
  • Pepper box: This is essentially a cylindrical gun with four barrels, each with their own firing mechanism. Contrary to popular believe, the pepper box is not a “volley gun.” This weapon comes in many bizarre shapes and forms.
  • Pistol: This weapon is obsolete but is cheap and readily available to civilians for personal defense.
  • Double Barrel Shotgun: This is the classic frontiersman weapon. The barrels of the shotgun can either be side-by-side or over-and-under
  • Rifle Musket: This is a common breech loading percussion cap rifle, popular among hunters but obsolete by modern standards. Most rifle muskets where made from the old muzzle loading muskets.
  • Dragon: This is a very old weapon that was favored by pirates and mercenaries. Dragons are single shot trap door pistols, these weapons were converted from old pistols.
  • Long Pistol: An old but very accurate weapon favored by officers from a bygone era.
  • Revolver: The preferred weapon of modern officers and other military personnel. Revolvers come in many different varieties but all have a cylindrical mechanism with 6 bullets that can usually kill just about anything.
  • Repeating Carbine: This is a shortened version of the repeating rifle made for mounted and close quarters combat. It is easier to wield but the shortened barrel gives this gun lower range and accuracy.
  • Repeating Shotgun: This is a repeating version of the classic shotgun that is used by modern military forces and competition shooters.
  • Repeating Rifle: This is the standard issue weapon of most military forces.
  • Lead Belcher: A larger more powerful shotgun invented by ogres for ogres, but is also used by orcs, goliaths and other races with large stature.
  • Long Rifle: An archaic but highly accurate sniper weapon. More advanced military sniper rifles exist, but they are rare.
  • Gunblade: A revolver pistol with a blade built into it. This is the quintessential weapon of most artificers and new age heroes. For purposes of weapon types the blade may be either a Light Blade, or an Axe. Once you choose the weapon type you cannot change it.
  • Bearded Dragon: A bladed version of the dragon that is often used by pirates. The blades on this weapon often have hooks and serrated edges. For purposes of weapon types the blade may be either a Light Blade, or an Axe. Once you choose the weapon type you cannot change it.
  • Pig Iron: A modified heavy version of the dragon, invented by ogres to fit their larger palms.
  • Spear Gun: A rare air powered weapon that can be used under water. This weapon is usually reserved for utility purposes, but sometimes pirates, monster hunters and adventurers use this weapon in combat due to its brutal power. Spear guns require pneumatic tanks to function.
  • Autobow: The new age air powered version of the repeating crossbow. It is quick, light weight and silent, but not as accurate as its older clunkier cousin the “Superior crossbow.” This weapon requires a pneumatic tank to function.
