Chapter 1: The Starcrest Chronicles

“A life without adventure is likely to be unsatisfying, but a life in which adventure is allowed to take whatever form it will is sure to be short.” -Bertrand Russell

DM’d by Robert, this adventure was the first chapter in, hopefully, a long line of campaigns that will make up the most eccentric and unique story lines that can be feasible. Designed to be free-form and flexible, its trademarks can be seen in what seems like utter randomness.

Here is the condensed tales of our first steps into The In-between and the mystery that this world brings.

  1. Between Fools and Heroes
  2. Through The Woods Through the Mansion Through Insanity and Back Again
  3. Separate Journeys

The Shifter Warlord of the group wrote a small journal recounting the events as evidence for his Lord. Written on scraps of paper he could find, they managed to survive long enough for them to be read once more by viewers like you.

Chapter 2: Netherlight

“It is a sign of a creeping inner death when we no longer can praise the living.”- Eric Hoffer (1902 – 1983)

This is where I took over as the DM. (and subsequently drove it into the ground.) Eventually the group had to disband due to school, gas prices and the long travel distance.

  1. Shady Golem
  2. Grim Tideings
  3. Rancid Invaders
  4. Creeping Shades
  5. Tunnels
  6. Shadow of the Old Ones

Journey to Usilith (aka Ballad of the Deep take 1)

“Man can live about forty days without food, about three days without water, about eight minutes without air, but only for one second without hope” – Unknown

This campaign was going strong until two of my players no longer had the time due to work, which caused the group to disband.

The City of Lux (aka Ballad of the Deep take 2)

DM’ed by me, Misha again. This game never got passed the first session as it fell apart due to bickering between me and my players. I consider this one a harsh lesson and a testament to my own stupidity.

I have struck a city… a real city… and they call it Lux… I urgently desire never to see it again… – Unknown
